The Hairz

My hairdresser friend came over the other day to dye and trim my hair, and to give Atti his first haircut. I have so loved his curls, but it is hot here and he is a head sweater, so and it was far too long over his eyes.

But Oh Oh Oh - the curlz!

I did a bit of research into how kids salons cut hair, and we spend a couple of hours at the local park with C my hairdresser, and K her mum (who was one of Atti's neonatal nurses, coincidentally). Then we came home and put on some episodes of Octonauts on the iPad, and she cut his hair, with absolutely no dramas. 

We tried just a trim, but it looked weird and sticky-out when she did that so we actually cut it to a basic little boy hair cut. He looks a bit like a Beatle now. I mean it is fine, and the curls will grow back, but …. sigh. My curly mop child is gone.

And he does look a little older. I actually think he looks adorable in his favourite hat now.
