Big Day

Today, in the morning while a friend had the kittens and his grandparents had Atti I got all of the school and new daycare requirements sorted out. All the stationary and supplies, all the uniform and backpack stuff, all the containers for snacks and lunches and so on.  I even managed to get into Bunnings and buy a couple of storage boxes to store Atti's car collection and track stuff in (soooo sick of it being spread all over the floor because he can't sort through it in the bags).

So I am feeling a bit awesome.

And this afternoon Atti got the collar and cuff off his arm. Thank goodness, he can shower/bathe/swim/splashpad again. And everything else, obviously - but water man, this kid is hard work without being able to get wet!

And to pile on.

As if there wasn't enough on my plate....

I somehow ended up taking on two abandoned two week old kittens.

Arm update

Atti and I went to the Ortho clinic yesterday and all is well. They did an X-ray and we saw an Ortho registrar and he was happy with where the arm was, no need to raise it in the cuff. He explained the break to me (everything single thing the Wook family have been saying about the X-rays turned out to be wrong, ha!) - it is a small fracture across the front of the humerus, with no dislocation. I told him that Atti is using the slung hand to do things and sleeping face down and he basically said that it was all fine, so long as he didn't straighten his arm while it healed it would be all good.

So that is kinda awesome. But there will be no getting the cuff wet, so no baths or sprinklers or whatever. So I have to figure out a way to deal with his hair.

And he said at this age it will take 3 to 4 weeks to heal, so it should be off and done by the end of the month, in time for school. Hip hip hooray.

It comes back at ya

The Wook has a thing about Atti 'watching' tv. As in he doesn't care about him watching it all day (sigh) but he does care if he isn't actually sitting like a zombie in front of the screen (yes, this is alllll kinds of wrong, but he won't listen). So when he goes off to find toys or play or whatever, the Wook makes a big carry on about turning off the tv because he isn't watching it.

Which he did this morning. And then the Wook came in to the bedroom to talk to me, and about 5 minutes later Atti came in and informed the Wook he had turned off his tv show.

And I laughed and laughed and laughed - and the Wook is NOT HAPPY.
